Vertical Stab

A couple of shots showing the basic construction of the vertical stab. Note that the NAV and COM antennas were bonded to the right side skin before the internal structure was built.

These last two images of the vertical stab show a flange that we added to the top surface of the horizontal stab. This flange was made using the same procedure that is used to make the spar and rib caps.

This made closing the stab much easier and now we don't have to reach up from inside the fuse or thru the access covers to complete this joint. The white tube is conduit for the position/strobe light in the top of the tail. There are a total of three antennas in the tail, two in the stab and one in the rudder.
